Determination

A lot of characters from the Miracle Worker written play by William Gibson show determination but the one with the most of it is Annie Sullivan. She practically glows with this strong emotion. Half blind herself, she is determined to teach Helen Keller who is both blind and deaf since birth. While no one can actually get to her, Annie sure thinks she can. This stubborn young woman does not quit even after Helen locks her to her room, knocks one of Annie's teeth and tires her merciless at breakfast in the Keller estate. Annie is the definition of determination, determined to help Helen. The reason for that is because she does not want what happened to Annie's childhood happen to Helens. Annie Sullivan's brother died and she thinks it was all on her to blame. She wants to help Helen succeed in life and live happily.

Pity vs. love

Pity and love have two very different different meanings. Would you want to be pitied or loved by your best friend? To pity someone means to be around them just because you feel bad for that person. We all know to love someone is to truly love them for who they are inside and admiring his or her actions and sayings. Loving someone, in my opinion, is much better than pitying. Let's say there is a lonely animal, a wolf, in the woods all alone and this other animal, a fox, took pity of it. The fox hangs around the lonely wolf only because he felt bad for him--pitied him. But when the lonely wolf isn't alone anymore, the fox leaves. But if the animal loved the other animal as a best friend, then that animal would have never left. They could've been best friends and loved each other so much that they wouldn't stand to go without them. That would be much better. To be loved or to love someone is better than to be felt bad for.

Imagine there was a stray dog out in your front porch, lonley and famished. Someone would most likely take pity of the animal and take care of it a little. You give it food and clean it up, and eventually call the vet for help. Some people only took pity of the dog and gave it to the vet without hesitation, without looking back. That person would have been more than happy to finally get rid of the dog, but of that person DID hesitate-- even a little-- it means they had a touch of love in them that was dedicated towards that dog. It would be nice if that person adopted the dog for love rather than pity.

Hellen Keller

Helen Keller was born on June 27, 1880. At nineteen months she became blind and death by an unknown illness now guessed as Scarlet fever, ruining her perfect health. She became wild and restless growing up. She became spoiled. Her parents loved her but they really just wanted her to leave them alone. They give her a treat when she throws a tantrum but they still look for someone that may be able to help her. Helen was not used to NOT getting her way.
At the age of six, she met her miracle worker, her teacher, Anne Sullivan. The teacher taught her to read and write and she learned that Helen was very smart in the inside, but since she had never been taught to speak, she had no way of showing this brightness. Helen learned so quickly because of the teacher, Annie became famous and soon helped those like her.

Cat vs Dog

Even though dogs bark so annoyingly and scare me to death, I would much rather want them as a pet  than a cat. If you had ever tried, you can never ever play around with a cat but a dog you can. Dogs can learn to love there owner while a cat tends to shed around the house and throw up hairballs. Kids love the puppies but I don't think I will since the day one chased me around the laundry mat when I was seven.

Hungry Hunger Free Kids Act

School is where the students have the their middle of the day lunch. It is there that they have to choose what to eat and many of those food choices are unhealthy. Many people, including me, want the schools to serve much more healthier foods. I vouch for this amazing start for cafeteria foods to be healthier.

But, then again, I'm not so sure what foods are considered healthy or not. Like pizza for example, it has cheese and tomato, so is it healthy. But then again, it has to much fat a calories. Pizza is somewhere in the middle of healthy and unhealthy. Fruits ad vegetables can be handed to at lunch and we could stay in great health but most athletic people need some of the sugar in them that can keep them going throughout the day.

I agree with having healthier foods in school because it can lower the chances of some people getting obese. Another reason is because eating vitamins can make a person smarter and help them remember the things they turn in school.

Some kids, though, can not go an amount of time without having sugar in their bodies to keep them energized. They might fall asleep in class so lets go back to the pizza we were talking about. That can still be considered good in school if many of the students in school need that extra sugar. Or maybe pizza doesn't contain sugar; we could still be served chips, but that still may contain vitamins.

Having healthier foods in school has it's pros and cons. Let us think and ask ourselves these questions; are they healthy, not healthy, or in the middle? Would it keep us students awake in class? Because students, some of them anyways, want healthy foods but not the boring broccoli they picture when the word healthy pops up, they want the fun and yummy healthy foods served in the lunches.

Converse VS Vans

             Converse VS Vans
In our opinion, we think converses and vans are equally like-able. From our experienced life, we noticed that converses last longer, while vans get more worn out after the first month, but only based on how well the person treats it and how long they wear them. Vans and converse are both comfortable, although they are both made for looks and appearances. Vans go better with dresses and skirts but you can still where them with pants and pajamas. Converse are better looking with jeans and pants so they're suitable for plain dull actions. When shopping for these types of shoes in the store, the come with many various beautiful colors that they make the most dullest clothes look better.
Most girls might say that vans are better than converse, and I should know because I have asked a various number of girls for their opinion and searched online for what people out there think.

These shoes are not all that expensive, only, like, fifty dollars more or less. When i searched online earlier for peoples opinions on which are better, i read one that said they really were a fan of vans. But that person also said they like the boy van shoes even though that person was a girl. And thats the thing, no matter if you are a girl or a boy, both shoes that go with different genders, can go with the opposite genders as well.

Having these shoes can make a person feel very special because the are plain but also beautiful.
